With two days left until the release of the six year old project Keep up with everything, I spend this Good Talk video talking about procrastinating with big projects. I believe for me, there’s an inner fear that the finished product will not be as perfect as imagined and therefor I push the deadline. I tweak things, give excuses and promote nonsense to myself. But last week, I had enough. I spent several days organizing what I needed to do to finish the animated music video. I set priorities on what was most crucial and within a few days, I had a completed product. Sure, I’ve tweaked it more since then but I also made it clear to myself and to people around me that this coming Thursday would be the day. No matter what, the video will be up then. And it will be.
I also talk about an even longer project. One that I’ve been working on and off with since 2007. In order to open your senses to new inspiration, you need to let go of these old projects. The animation will be up this week, and the other project will be finished during the first half of 2019. If you say it, it will ring more true to you, than just thinking it, hoping it.
Watch the video above, and feel free to join the conversation in the comments of the video. We can learn a lot from each other there. Thank you for reading this, watching that and writing there. We can do it. We just need to set our mind to it.
Good talk!
Good Talk is an ongoing series where I talk about my own experiences with different feelings, personal thoughts and dreams on a personal level. Good Talk is meant to be a conversation of spreading positivity and inspiration where I just open up for discussion in the comments, and where you, the viewer gets to share you thoughts on the topic of the video. Feel free to post long comments, and even better, respond to other people. That way it becomes a two-way communication where we can all learn from each other’s experiences, regardless of where in the world we live. Thank you all for being a part of something that is very special to me.
